Alpak-Eko LLC successfully completed the year 2022 and enabled its clients to achieve the
prescribed national goals. By investing in infrastructure and equipment for sorting packaging
waste, Alpak-Eko LLC developed a waste management system for packaging waste. By
participating and covering some of the collection costs, we increased the collection of
packaging waste.

The company Alpakeco, within the activity for creating conditions for the selection of packaging waste, has distributed to its customers 500 cardboard boxes for the selection of paper waste.

The agreement for the cooperation between Alpakeco and the Municipality of Likovo for collection, selection and transportation of packed waste is signed, as well as the cooperation for the ecological education of the students.

The agreement for the cooperation between Alpakeco and the Municipality of Çair for collection, selection and transportation of packed waste is signed, as well as the cooperation for the ecological education of the students.

AKTIVITIES

In accordance with the national plan for the selection and recycling of packaging waste and in accordance with the current pandemic situation, ALPAKEKO conducted activities in several schools and kindergartens. During these activities, disinfectants and stands for the same were distributed, plastic waste collection baskets as well as promotional materials for rising awareness for collection, selection and recycling.

Activity

ALPAK-EKO Ltd is a company with main activity management of packaging waste according to the “polluter pays” principle and in accordance with the Law on packaging and packaging waste in order to meet national environmental goals and government policy.

According to the Law on Packaging and Packaging Waste, which entered into force on 01.01.2011, all companies that manufacture or import products packaged in a bottle, have an obligation to organize a system that collects selected and recycle their packing waste that occurs after consumption of their products by final consumers.

The Obligation under Article 17 of this Law refers only one manufacturer, which released a year market or imported into the Republic of Macedonia over the following amounts and certain types of packaging:

  • 800 kg of glass,
  • 100 kg of plastic,
  • 300 kg of paper, cardboard
  • 100 kg of metal,
  • 100 kg of wood
  • 100 kg of other types of packaging.

ALPAK-EKO Ltd Obligations

To establish a system for packaging waste management in accordance with the principles of environmental protection and the applicable regulations in the Republic of Macedonia and international standards.

The collected funds will give licensed gathers which separated commercial from the municipal waste collection will perform a selection, pressing in special packaging that will be ready for recycling or creating energy. Also, we will organize educational campaigns to meet people with this type of waste that will need to be stored in specially marked containers. To cooperate with all the municipalities of the territory that would raise awareness among citizens for a cleaner environment.

 

Customer commitments

By law, your company is required to submit monthly reports prepared on the basis of product specifications and sales report for that month.

Manufacturing specifications
– Information on the amount of packaging waste generated by product/article.

Monthly reports
– Information on the total values of the released waste packaging market in the country for all products. The report shall be submitted to the 15th of the month for the previous month.

Promotion

Organizing campaigns to raise public awareness of selective collection, sorting and recycling of household packaging waste. In cooperation with various NGOs and government institutions ALPAK-EKO Ltd is involved in educational programs to educate the population about protection of the environment.
